Way Walkers: I am in fanboy heaven

Wow. Just wow. Guys, there's this fantasy Choice of Games book/game series called Way Walkers that I am a massive fan of, and I just finished reading the second one. My mind is currently BLOWN.

It was so incredibly well written, so much replay value, so much fanboy awesomeness, that I am just left speechless. The game was buggy for a while, but now its fixed and I ran through the entire thing. Guys, if you are even mildly interested in fantasy books and have an iDevice or use GooglePlay (or whatever that thing is called), get this. It is totally worth the 2 dollars and is one of the best reads I have had in a long time.

Here's the link to the demo of the first game:

... and here's the author's blog:
http://waywalkersguide.com/authors-blog/

... and here's where similar games can be found, made by different authors but in the same medium:

I beg of you, at least look into this. I can guarantee* 100% satisfaction. Its that good.

Also, fitting music for the game/book. :D

These are all general medieval themes of magickyness. They're all pretty good.

Bastion: Bynn the Breaker (among others)

Shadow of the Colossus: The Opened Way (among others)

I made an interface for an interactive story like this and am planning to use it
to write a medieval fantasy 'game' with it some day! So well, I like these kind of
games (I played Choice of the Dragon and Choice of Romance), but I have to say
the amount of text per 'choice' in this one is just too much. I can't get myself
to even get to the first choice during a busy study day like this one. Sorry :P

It's great! I've gone through a few choices in the demo and It's one of the most well written non-books I've ever seen. However, I don't think I'll buy it. I don't like knowing that there is another path and no way to get back to it after choosing something else. I like straightforward books and fanfics better.
In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Once you finish the first game you can save your character (in order to start the second game with them) and play through the first one again with an entirely new character to use and save again. So, there is a way to go back to other paths after choosing something else. :) However, if that's not what you meant, then forget I said anything. It isn't that straightforward of a series. ;)

I understand what you mean. But to get to all the paths would take forever.

True.

I must have role-played as practically every possible person in order to feel like I'd ''finished'' the game, but I didn't need to in order to experience everything. There's only about 3 different endings, and they aren't that hard to get to. If you want to try being a walker of EVERY SINGLE WAY... now THAT takes a lot of time. :D

I tried this once with a similar game many years ago... don't remember what it was called. I gave up after three or so hours.
