Nostalgia for games not many people know?

by BubblesMaster » Fri Dec 19, 2014 5:14 am

I've been thinking of this recently, I thought it was an interesting topic. Are there any games from your childhood that you remember fondly (nostalgic for) but you don't think many people know of?

Me, Dark Cloud for PS2. I played it to death as a kid, and I don't see a lot of recognition for it. It's sequel (Dark Cloud 2, or Dark Chronicle outside the states) is better received, but I never got around to it.

You?

Seven Kingdoms was my first ever game, i didn't even know how to move units yet i had unlimited fun from that one. Still couldn't find a copy (or a ***PIRACY CENSOR***) which makes me quite sad.

Next one is Red Alert 2, along with Yuri's Revenge, which is still my favorite game by far. Thank god Mental Omega is making a great mod to revive the old CnC spirit. The oooold CnC spirit..

Never played it myself, remember very very very little gameplay, but i remember distinctly that my father played it once upon a time... Legacy of kain: soul reaver.

It is one of the first games my young mind absorbed and so the nostalgia comes in spades.

I barely play games, but I do like the Red Alert series, epic war machines and great tactical planning.

Did you at least make it to the Patrick boss fight? I used to play it as a kid just to hear the soundtrack.

Another game I used to always play was X-Men Legends, and the sequel. Those are some of the best games ai've everplayed in my life. Too bad my discs are scratched. :(

I played that sponge bob game! It's awesome! At the end, I fought that green little insect thing ( I don't know it's name in English ) that has a giant robot.

Might and magic: Clash of heroes for the ds. The game itself isn't too unknown but I have never seen someone play it on a ds. I played it way too much when I was young and I actually did a playthrough last week.

This for mentioning games that don't get much attention, but we remember them, hence the word "nostalgia". I thought of another game: Metal Arms: Glitch in the System. I probably played this game as much as my other games combined when I was 6. :P

Another game is Open Season based on the animated movie with the same name. It's quite entertaining.
