A Kingdom Rush Vengeance/Iron Marines Crossover [SPOILERS]

by ironcommando » Sat Sep 29, 2018 4:12 am

So the Borealis update for Iron Marines is out and I must say I loved it, although the nature of the villain had got me thinking of a crossover with Kingdom Rush: Vengeance.

[+] SPOILER
The villains are the plasma energy beings called the Raad, who are capable of using portals to travel through space, and are led by their leader Nexus who's basically like a sci-fi version of an evil sorceror who uses quantum portals to enter and invade planets.

So here I'm thinking... what if a bonus content update had Nexus and the Raad open a portal to Linrea, and decided it would be a good place to invade? The problem - Vez'Nan is busy taking it over and he wouldn't be too happy with that since he's feels that he's the one who should take over Linrea.

An Evil. vs. Evil fight ensues against the Raad and it's the new battle of the century -- Vez'Nan vs. Nexus!

Enemy types:

[+] SPOILER
Ion Trooper: Medium Speed, Medium HP, 50% Magic Resistance, Medium-low attack damage that pierces armor. When damaged, it'll start getting a charge and when that finishes it gains a shield similar to what those Demon Lords grant other demons. When killed, it'll give all nearby grounded Raads a health regen status. (Method to beat: Kill either the group at one go or have your barracks tank them while you kill them one by one.)
- Shields itself
- Regeneration Explosion

Pyron Guard: Medium Speed, Medium HP, 75% Magic Resistance, Medium area attack damage that sets groups of units on fire. When destroyed, it'll blow up for 200-400 damage after a few seconds and burn troops in the area. (Method to beat: Archer towers. Do not place troops nearby)
- Ranged Area Attack
- Burns troops
- Fiery Explosion

Geon Enforcer: Medium Speed, Medium HP, 50% Magic Resistance. When it gets to 1/2 HP it gives itself an armor, changing its physical resistance to 90% and makes it hit harder but move slower. When killed, it'll draw troops towards it before exploding for 100-200 damage. (Method to beat: Mage Towers once it uses its armor. Stuns will prevent it from using its armor mode.)
- Armor mode
- Gravitation Explosion

Tachyon Elite: Fast Speed, Medium-low HP, 90% Magic Resistance. When damaged it'll blink like a Saurian Darter. Its attack throws a purple ring that bounces from troop to troop dealing higher damage against groups of 2-3, but less against singular units. On death, it spawns a portal enemy. (Method to beat: Arrows/DPS)
- Teleports
- Ricochet Attack
- Spawns Raad Portal on death

Raad Portal: Does not move, after a few seconds from spawning it will spawns up to 2 Raads that aren't Tachyon Elites/Tachyon Carriers before disappearing.
- Spawns Raads

Empty Raad Carrier: Does not move nor attack. Medium HP, has 60% physical armor and no magic resistance. If a Raad touches it they will board it and it will turn into an airborne Ionic Carrier, Pyre Carrier, Grav Carrier or Quantum Carrier.
- Can be boarded by Raads.

Ionic Carrier: Fast Speed, flies, Medium HP, has 60% physical armor but no magic resistance. It has very long range, charges up an attack and will instakill normal troops (not heroes) if it attacks. Its attack is however disrupted if it's hit by anything. Drops an Ion Trooper when destroyed. (Method to beat: Use an upgraded archer tower or splash ability that hits air units to prevent them from attacking, mage tower to destroy them)
- Flying
- Instakill Ranged Attack
- Drops Ion Trooper on Death

Pyre Carrier: Fast Speed, flies, Medium HP, has 60% physical armor but no magic resistance. Uses a flamethrower to burn troops and cause constant damage when it gets near. Drops a Pyron Guard when destroyed. (Method to beat: Mage Towers)
- Flying
- Burns nearby troops
- Drops Pyron Guard on death

Grav Carrier: Fast Speed, flies, Medium HP, has 60% physical armor but no magic resistance. Will drop gravity wells on towers to slow them down, and will drop gravity wells on troops to damage+slow their movement down. Drops a Geon Enforcer when destroyed. (Method to beat: Mage Towers, move troops out of the gravity wells)
- Flying
- Slows towers and troops
- Drops Geon Enforcer on death

Quantum Carrier: Fast Speed, flies, Medium HP, has 60% physical armor but no magic resistance. Will fire a huge purple ball that travels down the lane and mows down troops in seconds of contact then explodes for huge damage after some distance. This attack has a cooldown. If on cooldown it'll attempt to get nearer to troops and fire armor piercing lasers at them. Drops a Tachyon Elite when destroyed. (Method to beat: Move barracks troops to another lane to avoid the energy spheres)
- Flying
- Fires destructive energy spheres
- Drops Tacyhon Elite on death

"Trained" Fenrir (actually wearing a mind-control helmet): Fast speed, appears in packs, Medium HP, 20% magic resistance. Attacks quickly. If set on fire they run haphazardly and cannot attack. (Method to beat: Splash or Archer towers)
- Can dodge melee attacks
- Weak to fire

"Trained" Alpha Fenrir (actually wearing a mind-control helmet): Fast Speed, Medium-high HP, 50% magic resistance, high damage (60-80, one-shots basic level barracks units), attacks quickly. Has stealth capabilities ala Saurian Nightscales, loses Stealth when it engages in combat, if it's tapped on, or if damaged (by splash or area damage). If it's stealthed, its melee attack will one-shot any unit, including heroes. (Method to beat: Click on them to target them, or use area damage)
- Can dodge melee attacks
- Stealths from units
- Instakills when stealthed

Carrier Carrier: Flying unit. Slow speed, Very high HP and very high physical armor but no magic resistance. Periodically drops Empty Raad Carriers behind it. (Original enemy, not found in Iron Marines)
- Flying
- Spawns Empty Raad Carriers

Environmental stuff:
[+] SPOILER
Raad Portals: These will appear on the lanes and if not destroyed will spawn Raad troops of all kinds. They have more health than the portals spawned by Tachyon Elites.

Carrier Facility: These spawn Empty Raad Carriers periodically, up to three empty Raad Carriers can be near it. Can be destroyed after attacking it enough.

Not a good idea because it would not have sense.
