Update with Rediya the Avenger! Is she a better support than Catha or Dierdre? Is she a better dark angel than Lilith? Or are Ironhide's heroes still better? :veznan:

Have her start at level 10. The lower levels don't matter anyway.

Heroes also gain XP when they use powers, presumably she would gain more from her powers than most other heroes.

Well apparently the spells have never been significant enough for me to see a difference in the xp bar.

*sighs* which is why it would have to be far larger for this hypothetical hero.

Just because you don't see something happen, doesn't mean it dosen't exist.

Rediya is good, even if the idea does seem scary ... I especially like the hero spell. What makes her an avenger is it because she's a ghost?

Her description tells you that she is a spirit of vengeance, but that name was too long to fit into a vocation, so it was shortened to an avenger, doing essentially the same thing. :P

Is Rediya balanced? Regular attacks tend to add up more damage total compared to skills, so they would comparatively have to be twice as powerful as normal skills to compensate.

I really like him a lot and he fits his role
of boss/hero perfectly. :D (Since you already
know he's MASSIVELY OP,I won't go into
detail on that matter. ;) )

Title change! :yey:

Now, this thread is more than just satire. I'll give my personal opinions on designing heroes for the game, hopefully about game design in general. Feel free to ask me questions and use what you read here as a guideline of sorts for any ideas that you may have. :D I'm still human, and can still be wrong, so I'm willing to change whatever is a mistake.

Also, I'm still going to be updating the OP with heroes to use as examples as what to do and what not to do. Updated with Narcion the Wizard-King. :hero:

Narcion is actually pretty balanced. :D
But,his HS would be my least favorite
HS though. :( (Silencing doesn't affect
too many enemies and a 2s stun is almost
worthless. ;) )
He should be drastically more powerful
when inside of the affected area to make
it more useful. :) (And that would fit the
name of the spell pretty well too.)
