How is armor calculated?

by ryry1237 » Tue Aug 23, 2011 10:05 am

Kingdom rush enemy units only have a vague armor description of none, low, medium, high, and great.
As much as I love this game, I am a bit bothered at not being given the exact defensive value that each of these armor types actually provide.

Is it a flat defensive value (reduces all damage by a certain number) or a %percentage value?
It's rather difficult to test things out due to the often wide damage ranges on the towers.

Also, how much damage do legionnaire reinforcement spears do?
I've seen them take out ~25 damage chunks at a time when used on unarmored flying units.

All three legionnaires throwing at a gargoyle will kill it in one (or three, depending how you look at it) hits.

I believe it is a percentage value.
And what I do know is that two different creatures with the same armor rating, can still have a different percentage value. I guess it's something like:
- Low: 0% - 20%
- Medium: 20% - 40%
- High: 40% - 60%
- Great: 60% +

Isn't "NONE" 0%. It could also be a number range.

I meant that everything between 0% and 20% could be 'low', 0% is of course 'none' :-)
