First off I want to say Kudos to the creators of this game, I love it. (Thanks to Lord MaGnUs for turning me on to it)

I'm having trouble beating the Icewind Pass Iron challenge. I've tried different combinations of defenses and still the gargoyles get through or the ground troops mow through my defenders. What do I need to do to beat this challenge?

edit: Thanks again! With the help of the strategy guide I've beaten all 12 levels in both Heroic and Iron challenge modes.

I passed with a quick upgrade to dragonbreath launcher, it kills flying things for breakfast.
