American Elections

by Zonoro13 » Mon Mar 07, 2016 1:14 am

Who do you support for president this election cycle?

My order of preference is Kasich>Rubio>Trump>Sanders>Cruz>Clinton.

Oooohhhh
Controversy

Technically independent, but definitely liberal. (So not part of the Democratic Party)
1. Clinton
2. Sanders
3. Rubio
4. Cruz (Trump & Cruz are really interchangeable for me)
5. Trump

Kasich: ? (Don't really know much about him)

I think that Cruz & Rubio would both make good presidents.

In all seriousness, none of the candidates are incredible. Sure, they all have good stuff and bad stuff, but none are really stunning.

This is my definite candidate though:

Yeah, I just think in terms of which candidates have the most good stuff going for them. (And of course less bad stuff too.)

I am the political equivalent of agnostic. Maybe someday I'll get involved and try to work for a better government, but not now. Though I'm staying out of this overall, I need to point out that it feels like someone is missing from these lists. Is it Ben Carson?

Well, I do really like Ben, but I'm afraid that he doesn't really have a chance any more. :(

Sarcasm aside, would you mind giving your truthful perspective? (I know that you're at least not male, and am assuming from that that the rest was sarcastic.)

The only American candidate I know is Trump, and only because we make fun of him even here. In some obscure country in Asia. Asia, Goddamn it.

Oh, I know that you're in the Phillipines from reading basically all of the posts that I wasn't here to witness. I was just wondering if you had any non-sarcastic views on the upcoming election. (Also, keep making fun of Trump. He deserves it. #ShotsFired)

@Aeris: Wait, Sanders and Clinton? A self-proclaimed socialist and someone who is basically a socialist but doesn't admit it? Why, may I ask?

I was about to reply to this, but I know from experience that actively discussing politics is an excellent way to lose friends l, so while I don't care what you lot discuss, statistically if I get involved I will alienate 60-70% of people I know by discussing my politics.

In fact my only opinion on the matter is that you idiots shouldn't let Trump in, or he'll spank my country's arse because we tried to ban his entry to the point where Parliament was legally obliged to discuss blocking him from entry

Clinton is just as bad as trump if you ask me, other than the scandals against her here are a few quotes from her: "if women dont vote for me they are traitors to their gender" and "the difference between me and Obama? id have thought that was obvious, im a woman". Two fine examples that what she stands for, what people are capable of aren't the important things but rather whats on the outside, the fact that she is a woman is why she should be the usa's president.

You don't have to agree with me here, just wanted to put my two pennies (cents) in as they say.

you may be right here kingmaker but if people alienate from me/don't like me for my views then they were never a friend to begin with amiright?

@Ninja:
1. Most Bernie supporters say that he's a democratic socialist, akin to the governments of Norway or Sweden.
2. I don't think you can claim Hilary is an unspoken socialist. Rather, she is a picture-perfect definition of a politician.

Really, I mostly support these two because they're liberal. Also, I don't really have high regards for any of the Republicans.

Eh at this point voting in Cthulu would probably do less damage to the world than any of the other candidates, despite his slogan stating it is the lesser evil

@Aeris If you are liberal then Sanders is your candidate. Clinton is not liberal compared to Sanders, she takes money from banks, she lies about her own mistakes, she's corrupt... In terms of character she's a demon shrew worse than even Cruz.

I have to agree with Kingmaker here; I don't like any of the candidates presently offered for this election. Then again, I don't like politics in general. Anyhow, Cthulhu has my vote! That or Britain can feel free to re-establish its rule over us, for -- even though it has its own problems -- I begin to wonder if they would be better at managing this country than ourselves.
