An oral should have been able to provoke a defence before bein glnyched. He may not have checked his phone or whatever, but awaiting his response before continuing would make the voting system far fairer

Well, all I know is that the rules that JB dictated in the OP say that anyone who receives enough VTLs is automatically lynched. Whoever said that a lynch mob would be fair to their target, anyways? Angry crowds don't tend to give chances for last words.

(Maybe that suggestion can be implemented in the next game, but this game must be consistent with its rules. I'm not going to change the rules mid-game.)

I don't think so.

@Magicmetal03: The Governor is just like any other other Townie; nothing special happens if he dies. But, he is your only confirmed ally, so it's still a pretty huge problem when he dies.

(Again, where TOS is better than this, is that (albeit at more risks and other terrors in the night) the mayor/leader's vote counts as 3, giving the mafia a reason to legitimately be afraid of them.

Additionally, the killing abilities of the jailor and bodyguard really give the town some oomph beyond random lynching (which is what we're doing because there's only one bloody investigative townie - nobody who watches who visits who at night, no spy who can overhear the mafia chat, no actual investiagator who can get a choice of ~3 roles when investigating someone, narrowing down their possible roles

It's supposed to be hard to figure who the Mafia are. That's the main part of the game. Also, they're unbelievably outnumbered, so it's not like they don't have any disadvantages to gripe about.

I can agree with the Governor thing, though 3 votes is too much; 2 would be better. Again, though, I won't change the rules mid-game. I personally get very frustrated when stuff like that happens in games, and I'm sure others would too. However, if everyone agrees to the few changes that you've suggested and that I've approved, then I guess we could incorporate them in this game.
