Opensource graphics tools for budding artists...

I am something of an artist and I've dabbled a bit with a lot of digital tools over the years. There was a time when it was very costly to do digital art due to the cost of the software. Nowadays there are a plethora of open-source options. Figured I'd list some of them here for those who are not aware of them:

GIMP

Gimp is basically the poor man's Photoshop. It may take some effort but with a little finagling you can do a lot of what photoshop does. What's more it has an active community building plugins, or if you're so inclined you can build one yourself.

INKSCAPE

A vector graphics tool on par with Adobe Illustrator.

KRITA

A Digital painting tool.

BLENDER

A 3D creation tool.
