I would say something a bit different, but we;ve had those recently with the fusion enemies and the gnome shop.
We've had heroes recently.

My vote would go to an MC, however I think a vote with submitted options is the best option.

Also with summer over and school begnning, I'd need a few weeks at least to get a level or two done. A longer time frame allowing for proof-reading, finesse and breathing room is my main suggestion to any contest (10 days to conceive, create and balance a hero? Come on!) but especially to an MC

I think that 2 or 3 (maybe even 4) weeks would be totally reasonable for an MC contest. Remember, though, BBB did set up an MC contest relatively recently and it didn't receive much attention. So, if that is chosen for the contest, then I wouldn't expect too many entries or comments, which is often (if not always) preferable. :)

I can adapt one I've had in development hell for a while, but again it'd need time.

OK, then. I guess I could set it up in a day or 2 if everyone agrees to the MC idea. But, first, should this contest have a theme or not?

Whatever.

As always, some guidelines are good, but not too constrictive

OK, then. I think the people playing should decide the theme, so what do you guys suggest? :)

Of course.

I have one that would allow me to use said MC, but:
1: I want to use that MC on my own
2: It would be a bit odd as its a bit of an odd MC

I don't necessarily mean biome themes, but rather like the other contests' themes. For example, the Video Game Tower Contest requires towers based off of a VG franchise. Just something general like that would be preferable, as it is much less constricting.

That would be cool seeing certain video game based towers. I'd love see something based off Warframe or something

Why don't you have an Iron Marines themed campaign?

2-3 levels maximum
Include a level intro (General we have encountered...etc.)
Description of biome
Recurring enemies
2-4 new enemies (Name, description, attack, armour, speed, gold, spec abilities)
1 unique level feature, positive or negative (eg. Magic blossoms, spider webs, alien eggs)
1 boss (same details as enemies)
1 secondary Hero (level 10, name, description, SHORT lore (the campaign is the subject here not the hero), attack, armour, two abilities, speed)

You're welcome

RaZoR's idea is a pretty cool theme for a contest. I'd like to use it for the contest, but I'd like to know whether anyone else does. :)

Well maybe a little explanation on how KR and IM are linked in this scenario, or how we should link them

I think it would be fine for every entrant to decide that for themselves in the level introduction messages. That way, one would have more freedom in the lore area, and thus have more freedom in other areas.
