We know by the events of the original Kingdom Rush, Lord Blackburn, once a champion of the realm, has been corrupted.

Just like Denas, Veznan, Alleria, Ashbite, Beresad, etc., I'd love to see the younger, nobler version of Lord Blackburn as a hero.

I don't need to get into specifics, I'm sure Ironhide can design him well. But maybe a smaller, similar (yet far less malevolent) looking knight wielding an axe and some radius stunning powers. As a hero special, maybe he temporarily draws on malevolent forces to boost his size, power, and appearance (to look closer to his final form).

This idea would be a winner, trust me!

Seeing past villains as heroes in Origins would be nice, though eith the lack of backstories already, it would only make the problem stick out more to play around with the story like this.

Blackburn already has an established backstory in Kingdom Rush--he used to be a hero before his corruption. There's actually no change to canon or continuity, and would be great to see him for the champion he was supposed to have been.

It's not like Veznan, who we didn't know was a hero...

I think this idea is not bad at all.
Yeah, it would be cool BUT...

This hero should have been introduced with the last update, as i suggested it for Lucrezia for example because of the relation to the update.
Now some weeks, month, ... later, after the update but who cares^^

Second and this is more important:
We have some story-characters, Denas, Veznan and so on and they also appear as heroes.
I know as Denas was introduced as first new hero i was like WHHHHAAAAT, it was cool.
Keep in mind, you do never face Denas while using him as a hero.
Same for Veznan, you face him in KR but he is a hero in KRO.
I think some people would complain about the fact that you could choose him as a hero and also face him at the castle blackburn.

But yeah, the idea is not bad at all.

I really like this idea! In fact,I would like to see a tons of characters when they were younger in KRO.
The problem is that this new blackburn hero will lack originality.
Let's look at Lord Blackburn's Encyclopedia description:"Once a great noble knight, his yearn for the power to battle evil, corrupted him and his lands."
Saw that? "noble knight" How is Prince Denas presented in KRO? King Denas the Noble Knight. It look like Blackburn was once one of Denas' Sworn Defender or something.
So yeah,two noble knight in the same game will lack originality.

who cares we have alleria and eridan, id like to see more heroes in general, and a nod to the other games? sounds good to me

If he has/owns his own land this would imply he is maybe not just a normal knight like others

We have other kings and also other castles (Blackburn) so Sir Blackburn wouldn't be maybe even related to Denas as much as you think

But still, two Knights in one game would be boring. He needs a new title.

"Knight" is just a title. His playstyle could be radically different from Denas, and thus not be boring.

I agree. But he still needs a different title.

It is just a title... this is not difficult to manage

Where is all the backstory ive heard so much about? I dont wanna read them cause fanfiction sucks in my opinion but im curious where id find it if i did want to.

There are more, of course. But see if you like that kind of stuff first before reading the rest.

We need Blackburn as a hero. Including so many characters from the first two games in KRO really binds the universe together.

Now we need Gerald Lightseeker as MisterX said ! Even though I don't see how they could introduce him (Malik's introduction was soooo awesome).

Who defeats Dragons? Noble knights and the most noble knight in kr is Sir Gerald Lightseeker, we will hopefully see the Dragon Throne...

After helping us to defeat the dragon/dragons Denas hires him and we see him in kr ;P

I just thought one minute about it, i hope it makes sense^^

I think it would be more awesome if Gerald appeared as a Squire of another Knight (and therefore weaker). That way it would be like two heroes in one (close to the new hero duplicating himself).

Maybe with one of the skill of the hero being directed to Gerald:

- level 0: Just him with sword
- level 1: Add shield
- level 2: Add Courage skill
- level 3: Add Shield of Retribution Skill

I just thought of something... what if Gerald Lightseeker was the squire of Sir Blackburn?
