Mini Campaign: Mechanical Mayhem

MECHANICAL MAYHEM

Taking place in a hypertech isolated island located in the middle of the sea. The island is the lair of an evil construct: the Terminator. Mechanical sounds such as fuses and laser bolts can be heard in the background.

The Strange Portal

General! For long our kingdom has been in peace and prosperity, and flourished beyond our thoughts, but war is now upon us! A mysterious portal has been found in the dark southern forests.

The portal is bringing several hostile groups of constructs into our realm!

Never had we found such creatures of death and destruction attacking our realm before. These unknown constructs made by some unknown master of magic are cutting the forest to bits. No way should they be left loose in the realm. We must stop these creatures before it’s too late!

Plasma Spider

Mechanical half-human, half-spiders, and the size of normal soldiers like Savage Hunters. They have a grey-black, metallic body and four spider-legs, wield blue, luminous plasma swords and have bright blue eyes and no pupils.

Small high-tech constructs of humanoid spiders, these robots serve as footmen for the great robotic army.

HP: 320/400/480
True Damage: 36-48
-Attacks by swinging its blade every 1 second.
Physical Armor: 0% (none)
Magical Resistance: 0% (none)
Speed: Fast

*Fuse: Has 25% chance of exploding and dealing 60-120 physical damage when destroyed.

Plasmapest

Robotic bugs slightly bigger than Goblins with a grey steel body and bright blue eyes. They have metallic horns charged with blue plasma and hover a bit over the ground, but are still treated as ground enemies.

Pesky constructs of discarded metal and waste plasma gas, Plasmapests support their allies from a distance.

True Damage: 12-24
-Shoots a bolt of plasma from its horns every 1.5 second.
Physical Armor: 0% (none)
Magical Resistance: 0% (none)
Speed: Fast

*Fuse: Has 25% chance of exploding and dealing 30-60 physical damage when destroyed.
*Lightspeed: Has a 33% chance of dodging any attack except Instakills and AOE.

Annihilator

Big robots the size of Gulaemons with a light-grey body. They have two guns as hands and two reinforced metallic legs. A circular blue-black cockpit is in place of its head. A big, glowing blue cavity is its front torso.

Huge robots chosen by the Terminator himself to launch big attacks. The Annihilators single-handedly wreck anything that tries to stop them.

True Damage: 15-25
-Fires plasma bolts from its arms continuously, dealing damage every 0.25 second.
Physical Armor: 80% (high)
Magical Resistance: 0% (none)
Speed: Slow

*Fuse: Has 25% chance of exploding and dealing 300-600 physical damage when destroyed.
*Plasma Barrage: Fires at a very fast rate for 3 seconds, dealing damage every 0.1 second.
*Disintegration: Fires a powerful beam of plasma from its torso cavity which instantly disintegrates a single enemy.

The Mechanical Island

We travelled through the portal after defeating those hostile constructs. Their firepower is still shocking us!

But we have found an even more shocking secret. The portal led us to the shores of an unknown island far from our realm. At first, we found only trees, ferns and hills upon the mountain. But further ahead, we found a strange settlement brimming with more of those constructs!

General, now we have to attack this settlement as soon as we can. We must find out more about the portal opened in our realm. It also looks as if the constructs in this settlement are planning to launch another assault on us!

Detonator

Detonaters are very small, spinning circular robots with a red blinking bulb set upon them. They have a grey-black body and hover slightly off the ground.

Detonators are the small emergency-bombs of the robots. Their explosive power is quite strong for such small constructs.

-Detonates when it reaches an enemy, dealing area damage.
Physical Armor: 0% (none)
Magical Resistance: 0% (none)
Speed: Very Fast

Bullram

Bullrams are huge humanoid bulls the size of Forest Trolls. They are clad in high-tech armor, have orange-green skin and faint red eyes with blood-red pupils. They wield big, high-tech plasma axes.

Paid by the Terminator to cause destruction and mayhem, these feared beasts have an unquenchable thirst for devastation.

HP: 3200/4000/4800
Physical Damage: 140-160
-Takes a big swing with its axe every 3 seconds, dealing area damage.
Physical Armor: 80% (high)
Magical Resistance: 20% (low)
Speed: Slow

*Immune to instakills: Instakills take only 1000 HP from it.
*Regeneration: Regenerates 40 HP per second.

Doomwalker

Very huge robots with a cylindrical, light-grey body with several cracks on it. Its body makes up almost all of its size. A single, huge, yellow eye with an angry black pupil is set a little above the middle of its cylindrical body. It has very short legs and arms. A green pool of radioactive liquid is seen on the cavity in its head.

Massive constructs of highly explosive, radioactive metal, Doomwalkers literally spell doom in the fates of their enemies.

True Damage: 500-700
-Explodes heavily when destroyed.
Physical Armor: 0% (none)
Magical Resistance: 0% (none)
Speed: Very Slow

*Ignores everything and moves on to the exit
*Cannot be stunned
*Regeneration: Regenerates at 20 HP per second.
*Toxic Radiation: Emits an aura of radiation from its body which deals 10 true damage per 0.5 second.
*Radioactive Pool: Leaves behind a pool of radiation after death that deals 10 true damage per 0.5 second for 10 seconds.

Fearlock Factory

Those hostile robots weren’t just lingering around the area. They have a ripe plan and a boss who wants total domination!

A metallic menace hidden in the Cyber Citadel, as the locals know it, is devising a big plan to dominate the whole world. The locals say that the boss of the robots is so powerful that whole mountains are left ruined in his wake. Even his followers are afraid of him. General, we should ensure that this overconfident robot boss doesn’t reap benefits from his plan!

For now, our scouts have found a secret factory located on the foot of a volcano. The factory looks like an arms-production center. Destroying it would weaken the robots for sure!

Gamma Spider

Gamma Spiders are mutated, greyish spiders the size of Jungle Spiders. They have bulging yellow eyes and big mouths dripping with yellow drool.

Grotesque creatures mutated horribly by the continuous experiments of the robots, the Gamma Spiders attack anything they find to avenge their great suffering.

HP: 480/600/720
Physical Damage: 18-27
-Attacks enemies like a typical spider every 1.5 seconds, while its poison takes 5 HP per second and remains for 5 seconds.
Physical Armor: 0% (none)
Magical Resistance: 70% (high)
Speed: Medium
Lives Taken: 1
Bounty: 20
*Unstable Mutation: Explodes when killed, dealing 50-150 true damage.

Gammabreeder

Gammabreeders are monstrous eight-legged creatures specially created by the robots to support and breed Gamma Spiders. They share many similarities with their smaller counterparts.

Monstrous spiders transformed into vicious mutants by the robots. These ferocious creatures plant horrible eggs in their enemies, which later transform into Gamma Spiders.

HP: 1200/1500/1800
Physical Damage: 32-48
-Attacks enemies like a typical spider every 1.5 seconds, while its poison takes 10 HP per second and remains for 5 seconds.
Physical Armor: 0% (none)
Magical Resistance: 70% (high)
Speed: Medium

Bounty: 65
*Unstable Mutation: Explodes when killed, dealing 150-250 true damage.
*Gammabreeding: Plants a mutant egg into an enemy, which immobilizes the soldier and deals true damage continuously at 30 HP per second. The mutant egg has an HP bar of 300 HP, and if the egg is destroyed before the soldier is killed, then he’s freed. If a soldier carrying a mutant egg dies, then he turns into three Gamma Spiders.

Steel Scorpion

Steel Scorpions are big, robotic scorpions with dark grey bodies, glowing green eyes, and a very thick steel carapace.

Deadly poisonous constructs with immeasurably hard steel carapaces, these beasts have a glowing lust of annihilation in their eyes.

HP: 1120/1400/1680
Physical Damage: 57-95
-Takes a swipe with one of its pincers every 2 seconds.
Physical Armor: 95% (great)
Magical Resistance: 0% (none)
Speed: Medium
Lives Taken: 2
Bounty: 50
*Fuse: Has 25% chance of exploding and dealing 120-240 physical damage when destroyed.
*Energized Pincers: Has a 40% chance of dealing true damage with every attack.

Walker D

A gigantic Doomwalker five times the size of a normal one.

The biggest and baddest walking explosive of the world, the Walker D leaves behind a spell of doom in its wake. Its foes fear to let it live … and also to destroy it!

HP: 12000/15000/18000
True Damage: 5000-7000 (or Area Instakill)
-Explodes like a supernova when killed, destroying everything, including towers around it.
Physical Armor: 0% (none)
Magical Resistance: 0% (none)
Speed: Very Slow
Lives Taken: 20
Bounty: 1000
*Mini-boss
*Mega Fuse: Has a 50% chance of reviving with full health when killed. If this fails, then it explodes in an apocalyptic blast. After the fuse is used one time (it has revived one time), then it can’t revive or explode the other time.

The Cyber Citadel

General! We come at last to the stronghold of the robots, the Cyber Citadel! Long have they plagued this land, let’s stop them now!

Led by a feared automaton said to command an apocalyptic force of robots, the robots have long been corrupting this land. Their boss, the feared Terminator, as the locals call it, is currently devising an evil plan to get the world to a catastrophe, and rule its ruins! We have to foil his plans before he sets out to action. May the blessings of the Goddess be with you!

We now face greater constructs, even deadlier than those we’ve already faced. Massive explosives, dangerous radiation, superfast firepower … the robots are a tough force to counter. But we’ll not step back. This is time to show out mettle!

Ironfang

Robotic wingless dragons with red eyes and firebreath. They are the size of typical Ogres.

Powerful automated beasts with steel-crushing jaws, these automatons do not know the meaning of fear.

-Takes a big chomp out of enemies every 2 seconds.
Physical Armor: 80% (high)
Magical Resistance: 0% (none)
Speed: Medium
Lives Taken: 1
Bounty: 26
*Fuse: Has 25% chance of exploding and dealing 120-240 physical damage when destroyed.

Urbanhost

Small androids the size of Plasma Spiders with a pale green body and bright green eyes. Urbahosts hover slightly off the ground.

Small, nimble robots who support their allies during the heat of battle. They have specialized repair drones that heals others effectively.

HP: 400/500/600
Heal: 6-12
-Each Urbanhost has 3 repair drones. Each drone fixes itself on an ally, and heals it continuously every 0.25 second until it reaches full health, then flies away and finds another ally. All the 3 drones rupture when the Urbanbhost dies.
Physical Armor: 0% (none)
Magical Resistance: 0% (none)
Speed: Slow
Lives Taken: 1
Bounty: 30
*Fuse: Has 25% chance of exploding and dealing 40-80 physical damage when destroyed.
*Cross Link: After death, it has a 25% chance that the drones will survive for 10 more seconds and heal allies before they also rupture.

Laserwing

Laserwings are big, flying mechanical insects with blue eyes and charged horns. They fly quite fast and are slightly smaller than Ironfangs.

Flying mechanical insects that disintegrate soldiers with their ever-active horns. They can use their extra energy to fire a very powerful bolt.

HP: 560/700/840
True Damage: 12-36
-Fires a plasma bolt from its horns every 1.5 second.
Physical Armor: 0% (high)
Magical Resistance: 0% (none)
Speed: Medium
Lives Taken: 1
Bounty: 24
*Flying
*Splitting Bolt: Fires a very powerful shot with 25% chance with every attack which instantly kills a soldier. Deals 50-150 damage instead of Instakill to heroes.

Eradicator

Big robots the size of Gulaemons with a light-brown body, similar to Annihilators. Both of the robots look quite similar except the Eradicator is bulkier, has two shoulder cannons and its body looks more earthly.

Massive automatons crafted out of some mysterious, magical metal found deep inside the earth, the Eradicators battle true to their name, eradicating any force that tries to stop them.

HP: 2560/3200/3860
True Damage: 150-250
-Fires a very heavy plasma bolt from one of its arms every 3.5 seconds.
Physical Armor: 0% (high)
Magical Resistance: 80% (none)
Speed: Slow

*Fuse: Has 25% chance of exploding and dealing 300-600 physical damage when destroyed.
*Apocalyptic Cannon: Fires two very powerful beams from its shoulder cannons which deal 300-500 true area damage.
*Disintegration: Fires a powerful beam of plasma from its torso cavity which instantly disintegrates a single enemy.

The Terminator

A very big robot with huge treads instead of legs. The Terminator has a grey body with different shades. His eye is like the front window of an airplane, except that they glow a bright red. He also has two horns. Missile launchers are in the place of his arms. Like the Annihilator and the Eradicator, he also has a giant torso cavity.

It was a crazed night of forbidden science that brought the Terminator into existence. Lightning crashed overhead, and the very roaring wind seemed to hiss its angry denial. But to no avail. The Terminator was alive, ALIVE!

HP: 8800/11000/13200
Physical Damage: 400-500
-Fires two missiles from his arms every 4 seconds which deal half of the total damage each.
Physical Armor: 80% (high)
Magical Resistance: 0% (none)
Speed: Slow
Lives Taken: 20
*Boss
*Automaton Apocalypse: The Terminator can use various attacks and abilities to destroy your army and reach the exit.
-Vile Laser: Fires a red beam from his eye that deals 250-450 true damage.
-Massive Clobber: Transforms his arm into a high-tech mace that deals 300-500 physical area damage and stuns enemies for 5 seconds.
-Automated Storm: Whips a storm out of thin air that pulls enemies inside it, deals 30 true damage per second and lasts for 10 seconds.
-Airborne Support: Opens up a chamber in his back and spawns 3 Laserwings.
-Iron Call: Summons 3 Ironfangs from gorges in the map into battle.
-Mercenary Invasion: Summons a Bullram with falls from above, straight onto the middle of the map.
-Robotic Swarm: Summons 5 Plasma Spider into battle, which come from the entry.
*Colossal Rend: When he reaches 0 HP, the Terminator laughs a very evil laughs and says, “You cannot win,” and then explodes heavily, dealing 600-1200 physical damage. 20 Ironfangs then spawn from his corpse, which has been transferred near to the entry. When they are defeated, 3 Annihilators and 3 Eradicators spawn from there. When they are also beaten, the Terminator, in a last-ditch attempt, makes 10 Doomwalkers spawn from his corpse. When they are also defeated, the corpse of the Terminator forms himself back again, and he says, “Not this time! NOT THIS TIME!” His body begins vibrating terribly and he disintegrates at last.

Wow.
Impressive.

You remind me of me when I first joined the forums :)

I'm not much for reviewing, but I'm loving the a e s t h e t i c.
The enemies are all cool and tough to beat, though I guess I'm a little disappointed that some enemies only appear for one level. The Laserwing and Urbanhost especially seem as if they could appear earlier.
Also Bullrams are probably too strong.

But in general it looks very cool!
KRA is now complete.

Thanks for the compliment, Aeris Draco!

I will surely move the Urbanhost and Laserwing to earlier levels.
Most probably they will be moved to The Mechanical Island.

I will also reduce the stats of the Bullram.
