Well, barracks won by a landslide! Now we will have a 2 day poll deciding on how the tower will be balanced.

I opted for a major weakness justified by a major strength because I imagine having an incredibly powerful Bloodshell unit, balanced by being the only troop spawned by the tower and having an immensely long respawn time.

too sad it isn't 2200 hp with a 60-120 attack with 95% armor
mabye traveling from port tortuga destroyed some of its strengths?

Like quite a few others, I'm thinking that the weakness is being a singular unit, but that one unit is even more powerful and physically tankier than Dark Knights due to even higher HP and armor. Meaning that it's bad at blocking hordes, but can take on a MechaDwarf, Frost Giant or High Sorcerer (if not polymorphed).

Hey, welcome to the forums! I’m glad your account started working. :)

I was thinking the same thing. In my head I compare it to the Earth Elemental from KR1, but without the area damage on its melee attack (another weakness to justify even higher health ;) ).

I also agree, since one Bloodshell on its own could be a huge problem to a mainly melee focused group. I remember this more strongly as I have been replaying all the games before diving into Vengeance, and got stuck at Sunken Citadel...

As expected, having a great weakness with a great strength has won 9/13!

Now it's time for the fun part: choosing those weaknesses. ;)

The poll here is a little more complicated so I made it last for 2 days as well. You can choose 3 options maximum. Any option that receives more than 3 votes will make it in - so feel free to change your votes at any time to control what becones part of the tower. :)

Sorry that the options weren't that interesting. The strengths, however, will be. ;)

In other news, I voted for the obligatory single unit option, as well as the slow respawn and unusually long construction time options.
