General! I may be a Dark Lord but I am not invincible... BAH HA HA!! Who am I kidding, I'm Vez'nan, the greatest sorcerer in the WORLD!! But still... there are still many out there that are a threat to my shiny new throne. I may rule Linirea now, but many of Denas' merry band of so called heroes are still out there, no doubt raring for a chance to take me down. Well we're going to take the battle to them! My spies have located them and will soon return with everything I need to know. The only real question will be who is the biggest threat, who do I take down first!?

You are one of Lord Vez'nan's spies, returning from your task of spying on one of the many Heroes that remains loyal to the exiled oaf Denas. Our great leader has captured the hideous she-elf Alleria Swiftwind, the traitorous student Magnus Spellbane and the unjust Paladin Gerald Lightseeker, but there are so many other heroes left to subdue. You've found one of those heroes, watched their every move, studied their troops and now you've returned to the fold to reveal your findings. Report to your Spy Master for debriefing, and then take a well-earned break in the Mire of Misery! Half price drinks during Unhappy Hour!

Your mission report is for a Mini-Campaign themed around a Hero from Kingdom Rush, Frontiers or Origins. It requires:
  • Three levels
  • Recurring enemies
  • Six new enemies
  • The Hero in an antagonist role, as either a recurring enemy (Alleria), scenery (Magnus) or boss (Gerald).
  • A single level hazard or mechanic

This is only a recon report, there is no assume what forces (towers) or assistance (mini heroes) we will be taking. These Heroes have all found their way to Linirea through one method or another and have recruited some of the troops we have already faced. Anyone who went further afield than the edge of the Varadul Wastes or the coastline of the human city Southport will not be considered, and will be executed for failing to follow commands.

To reiterate. You are making a mini-campaign where one of the Heroes of Kingdom Rush, Kingdom Rush: Frontiers or Kingdom Rush: Origins has made their way to Linirea (aka the map of Kingdom Rush: Vengeance) and is acting as an antagonist in the final level. You may use as many recurring enemies as you wish, but only from Kingdom Rush: Vengeance. You obviously cannot use Alleria, Magnus or Gerald as your hero choices, nor can you use Vez'nan or Prince Denas from KR:O (since their futureselves are already involved). You are not being asked to add special towers or mini heroes, so don't ask.

I have included a copy of the forum code here also for easy copy and paste, to save you inputting it all yourself.

Well, I'm choosing Vez'nan for this contest.

Also, a question, are we allowed to do light expansions to the map? Something just outside its reach like say Buccaneer's Den?

Nope, it has to be on the map. You can mention it, but the location has to be part of the map seen in KRV.

I should have maybe said you can’t do Vez’nan or Prince Denas, but I’m intrigued to see how you do it now.

I was joking on doing Vez'nan.

This makes things significantly harder since most of the map is taken up by levels.

You lil sh... grr! I'll mark him and PDenas off too.

Pretend there are no levels there, and just stick them in wherever.

A couple questions:

Can we have a secondary hero and a mechanic/hazard or is it one or the other?
Can the hero antagonist recur but also be the final boss?
Can we add achievements?
Can we alter the given format slightly to make it prettier and/or clearer (for instance, what I normally do is make more important categories larger size and use italics for extra explanation/lore) or do we have to use normal size bold font for any kind of category as shown?

It is a Mechanic or Hazard, NO secondary hero.
Yes that's fine
I guess
You can, I just added to code for people who post the entire thing without any kind of formatting.

What's the distinction between scenery and a hazard?

Scenery has more letters.

It's just wording, it's easier to say 'hazard' and have people think dangerous feature, than 'scenery' and end up with a gold giving interactive feature.

So it's a hazard (like Poison Pool) OR mechanic (like the Moon)

An did you can choose to have your boss be part of the scenery, like Magnus Spellbane in City of Lozagon.
