Okay. I don't think it's possible on Steam, but I think it can be done on mobile. Archer towers are slightly better there.

Beat Rotten Forest Iron, but you may not buy the Arcane Wizard upgrade, and you may not buy the Polymorph upgrade. If too easy, try Fungal Forest Iron, and train all 12 elves.

Beat the last level (Shrine of Elynie) with 3 stars using only 2 tower types of your choice. You may upgrade the Renegades as you please.

I've done this on normal with Denas, but lost 2 lives from technical errors. If done again, things would go more smoothly.

I've done this before with only longbows and barracks. Not too hard, and I only upgraded hunter's mark.

Darn, I don't remember how I did it, nor do I hve pictures. I'll give it some attempts when I have the time and post an image of it for you.

Golden longbows and forest keepers with any free hero. It won't be too difficult, as long as you are good at using whichever free hero you use, and don't ignore the renegades. I got three stars on normal but had to use a couple of time gems.

I just try to hope it's possible without spending money.

i have an idea for a challenge.
can be on any level after level 2, but if you go to far in the levels it may be impossible to complete.

there is only 2 rules:
the max lives lost for this challenge is 10
every tower has to be level 1 or 2
on the last stage/area you can use level 3 towers
although for some levels it will be easy, for others
not so much

Game: any
Levels: all main campaign
Rules: no advanced towers
No lives lost

Not really that hard, just play on easy with a good hero. (Not in Origins though, you'd get raped)

What is this Ancient Necropolis that ngue02 mentioned?

Also, longbows are pretty useful for killing... but they can't instakill twilight golems, RIGHT?

They can't instakill golems, but they can mark them which is almost the same. Forest Keepers will slaughter golems too.

Ancient Necropolis is part of Curse of Castle Blackburn.

This has been beaten on normal with only teslas, which is significantly harder than the "challenge" you presented.

Quarters with a Quarter

Complete Arcane Quarters with a limit of 30 Stars (or less) and NO UPGRADES for your hero. Level doesn't matter, but don't use any of their points earned from leveling.
