Prolouge

In a distant city, by the name of Hammerhold, it was a peaceful morning. The merchants were selling well, warriors of the army got a break, and years of training, one warrior was ready for anything. He sat up in his bedroom, staring out the window smiling. Knowing that if anything was going to attack, he could save the city. As he sat up he could almost sense something was coming. It was too nice and peaceful to be true. This warriors name was Alric. Alric was probably the most experienced warrior in Hammerhold. However, other than the peacefulness and thinking, something was disturbing him. He had an old friend who went to Lineria years back to take down the infamous brother. Gerald was the commander of the paladinsin the north. Hearing about Vez'nans defeat, he never heard if Gerald was still alive. Suddenly, the silence was broke. A scream was heard. This was no normal scream. This was the scream of terror that ate to the very soul. Alric jumped up and stared straight out the window. He saw them putting up the gate very fast. As soon as he slipped his armor on he was outside talking to the guards. "What the heck is going on!?" he yelled to the soldiers. "Master Alric, a army has been spotted heading towards Hammerhold at a rapid rate." replied one the soldiers. "I'll take the troops, and you soldiers defend the wall. The archers outside can't do it alone, can they?" Alric asked. "No sir, this army is far too big!" shreiked on of the soldiers. "Come on boys, lets get moving!" Alric said to the troops as they went outside the gates.

Chapter 1: The Battle of Hammerhold

After setting up camp, the troops were armed and ready to fight. Alric stood at the gate nervously listening for the armies approach. All of the sudden, a war horn was heard. The gates then ripped open as desert thugs and dune raiders looked at the city like it was piece of gold. "FOR HAMMERHOLD!" Alric yelled. A vicous and bloody battle then arose. It was even the starting of one of the greatest wars of all time, which wasn't known at the moment. Alric was then charged by a group of dessert thugs. Alric then unleashed a mighty flurry sword slices upon them, wounding them if not killing them. He then was charged by rwo dune raiders. Now these guys were alot tougher. They overwhelmed him and were about to kill him, but then a miracle arose. Alric suddenly just started to feel a strange power in him. His hand then started to grow a red aura. All of the sudden, a warrior made of sand arose from the ground. Alric was astonished by this new power. The sand warrior then nodded at Alric and charged into the dune raider as a whirling tornado, killing him shortly after. Alric then jumped up and sliced the other so fast that the raider ran for several steps and then fell in half. Alric then looked around the bloody battlefield in awe as he saw all the enemies were dead. While the sodiers were cheering, Alric stood silently. He knew it couldn't be over. All of the sudden, a maniacal laughter was heard. The soldiers stopped laughing and looked up to see a figure in a cloud. He then raised barriers up arounf the towers so they couldnt hurt him. "Who are you?" Alric asked the flying figure. "I am the end to a beginning! I am Lord Malagar! You have made the biggest mistake of your lives, you fools! You would have been better off letting my soldiers through. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" the man said. Alric knew that they won the battle, but they started a war.

A few suggestions, right off the bat.

First off, I'd change the name of this thread as soon as you can to reflect the name you choose for your fanfic. Right now, even without anything written, its like naming a book you wrote ''book'' and expecting people to recognize the title on sight. I know you probably don't have a title yet, but change the name when you do.

Second, I'd edit the original post when you post your first chapter or whatnot. It makes it more accessable to those who are starting to read the fanfic, and lets them dive into the action without searching for the first chapter.

Just some thoughts.

You don't need to start a new thread, just edit your original post and you'll see the subject still has the same words in it. Change those and the title will change with it.
