CONTEST - Standalone Level

The contest is for the creation of a stand-alone level using a location on the main game maps that currently has no level associated with it. Using the three full maps below, you take a location that has a name on the map (as Gryphon Point does for example) and build a new, single level to suit that location.

Kingdom Rush - Kingdom Rush: Frontiers - Kingdom Rush: Origins

As the level is a single level, it should introduce new Enemies (for the sake of the contest, three new enemies) and a new Boss. Below are the forms required for entry, and an example of how they should be filled out (using an existing level). There is no need for a new mechanic, however if your level falls near a location that has a mechanic, you are free to re-use it, or any of the other typical features found in the area (Sea, Magic Blossoms, Thermal Fissures, etc).

Darklight Depths:

The Dwarves are one of our staunchest allies, and our King has named them 'Guardians of the Caves'. In their quest for the Lost Kingdom of Loria, they have stumbled upon a network of secret Saurian tunnels.

Through them an enormous horde of Saurians is heading for the surface, bent on conquering Linirea under the taloned foot of Xyzzy , the Saurian King. You must join the Dwarves in stopping Xyzzy and his beasts... for only Denas can be King of Linirea!

Location: The Unending Range (Frontiers)

Level Description: (Omitted, you don't need a description of the level, you know what it's like)

Recurring Enemies: Saurian Broodguard, Saurian Darter, Saurian Myrmidon, Saurian Nightscale, Saurian Blazefang, Saurian Razorwing, Saurian Quetzal

New Enemies: Saurian Deathcoil

There is "no need" for any new mechanics, but does that mean that new mechanics are disallowed or merely optional?

Also, if we made a campaign with another three enemies, people are going to complain that the campaign needs more new enemies. ;)

1) Optional, but i'd rather see things like hazards over mechanics (Poison Pools over Moon)

2) it's one level, not a campaign. Three new enemies and a boss is more than Sarelgaz' Lair or Darklight Depths had. So no complaints.

Plenty of choice then! Unless you mean the file size, in which case they are half the size of the origial file (ipad screen grab)

I was going to say hazards are localised, mechanics affect the entire field. But looking at it now, there really aren't that many that affect everything other than the Moon or the Sea. So screw it, mechanics/hazards all in.

Is there any limit/reason why I couldnt enter?

Also can i reuse stuff from a previous fan fiction that i have submitted (not a contest)? Can i transfer a mechanic from one game to another? Do I choose the game, location and map style, or do you choose that. is there a word limit!

You can do it, however it would make it noticeable whose idea that is. The whole point of contests is voting for the best one, ignorant of who made it, otherwise the votes would become heavily biased.

The contest is about designing a level, not an update. Hazards/mechanics are common in Elite Stages, but any additional content like a stage hero or special tower is capricious amongst all of the levels. I personally would like it if people just focused on the level with its enemies and only those.
