iPhone hero transfer from iPad?

Why does the iPhones hero purchases not transfer from iPad? I was happy to buy the game, but I didn't really want to buy all three Hero's again. I had bought both games with the same iTunes account, and when I tried the restore button, it wouldn't work? Please help.

P.S I do love the iPhone version! The zoom, and different menu designs are very cool!
