New advanced towers discussion

We know that the Kingdom Rush expansion will feature new advanced towers.
My guess is that every tower will have only one new advanced tower and not two, as for the developers creating 8 new advanced towers for the expansion sounds like alot, and as a player having four options sounds like too much.

If this is true, the barrack's one has been revealed, being the assasin's tower.
This leaves the question what the advanced towers will be for the archer tower, mages and the dwarven bombard.

As for the main topic... hard question. Assasin's tower is in some way quite a suprise for an warrior tower upgrade. But then again was there a place for something else? (mercenaries, guardsmen, crusaders, monster slayers, cavaliers...).
My guess is that we will have more negative type of upgrades. After all between barbarians, paladins and assasins, the last ones are quite evil. In the KR1 no type of tower served as a house of "Evil" type of soldiers.

So in conclusion:

Archer tower - Javelin tower / shoots javelins. Some kind of... guardians or protectors.

Mage tower - Tricster tower / shoots magic bolts. Home of the illusion/mind magic. Confuse enemies or take over their minds, why not?

Artillery tower - dwarf aiport... Don't ask ;)

Assassins are not reaaally evil (rolls eyes) , they serve their king like anyone else... they just lack the morals of paladins and the honor of barbarian warriors :)

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing, just didn't post it. Though technically assassins serve whomever pays them the most, or whoever hires them permanently. The "highest pay" really depends on your needs and preferences. One might argue that a full set of armor is more valuable than gold or gems. If you have no food, a permanant invitation to a rich person's house for dinner whenever you want is more vluable than almost anything else. That was really off topic.

new mage tower upgrade should be something like Landbark already said.+) mentalist tower - everything about mind games, illusions, fear effect.

new Archer tower upg. - Sling Tower or another name: Balearic slingers tower ->

sub upg. is type of bulets :
1 # (from basic stone bullets to heavy iron or lead(plumbum) bullets) affects on dmg and range
2# alternative projectiles with some substance that slows enemies

or another variant is something like Peltasts Tower (Peltasts' weapons consisted of several javelins, which may have had throwing straps to allow more force to be applied to a throw.)

new Artillery tower - Steam tower - fires ball looking projectiles with overheated steam, and when they reachs ground, they exploude and form constantly damaging cloud.

sub upg. :
1# steam powered golem(spitfire) with maybe some sort of flamethrower ( or high-preasure-overheated-steamthrower (= )
2# some alternative effect for steam cloud, like burn effect (reduce enemy defence, or make them suffer from burn and permanently lose health)
so something like this/+)

Returning to the upgrade of Dwarf tower I thought of some gun enplacement, a "a machine-gun nest". That would be fun, some other kind of splash damage tower which targets lots of enemies. Eventually flamethrower, because original Tesla and Big something are different in many ways :)
