This is moments before completing the challenge. It looks like Julian's strategy is the only way to beat it.

Now I have to make a repeat performance and capture it all on video.

You have to sell them around 3/4 of the way through. You need the money to upgrade the paladins.

Near the end, most definitely. But initially, I found that you have to carefully time when you use rain of fire. I reserve them for those infernal Demon Lords.

And I gave my Barbarians a hell of a work-out . Keep them stationary for tool-long and they fall victim to the Demon spawns' self-combustion. You have to keep changing their rally points and use the throw axe skill almost exclusively.

I can't fully remember it but when using Rain of fire as soon as possible every single time I believe I could use them against:
- Marauders
- Necromancers
- Dark Slayers
- Demon lords
- Way too much demons fighting my paladins making a demon hound or two pass through if I would get Rain of Fire available two seconds later
In that order, and refraining of using Rain of fire on any of the 5 targets would result in a loss ^^

You really need to keep those Barbarians on the move (along with support from conscripts) to generate enough upgrade revenue.

You can destroy the Marauders without Rain of Fire if you level up your paladins quickly and max out their holy strike ( you need those money-making Barbarians to hustle).

Well I guess you're right. I do not max out holy strikes though, I upgrade them to level 2 and then start upgrading the next barracks. When I have 5 fully upgraded (maxed holy strike + shield of Valor) I build a sixth barracks at the lower right corner and start upgrading that one =)

More seriously, you should try out the no stars challenge, it's challenging and great fun ^^

I'm already 2ND...you are 3RD. "thee" is old English for "you". As for embedding images you have to use the IMG tags.
