Hi!

I just played the first level of KR: Frontiers and was curious about how the game was designed.

After you start a new wave, you have about 15-40 seconds before a counter pops up and you can click it to summon the next wave of enemies. The counter lasts for maybe 30-45 seconds, but this changes with every wave. Are these timings random? Do they change each time you play the level, and do they depend on how quickly you kill the enemies?

Any insights would be appreciated!

I'm not certain in some of this but I'll give it a shot:

Timers aren't random, all waves are manufactured to each level and are the same each time you play. It's part of the balancing and is considered by the deva as they're playing and designing levels.

Thanks for your reply!

After observing a few more levels, I agree. It seems the timings are fixed and defined manually by the devs for each wave in order to make the game challenging but still winnable.

If you click on the timer to bring in the next wave early, you get 1 gold piece for every second left on the timer. Changing the difficulty level doesn't affect the timings.
