Kingdom Rush Vengeance Textures Bug

I bought kingdom rush vengeance on google play for my xperia Z tablet (yes, quite old device). Unfortunately some textures seem to be bugged. For example I do not see any splash art in the starting screen. Then when I press start and enter in the first level the textures of the gui are all black. I am pretty sure it is unintentional.
Does anybody else experience something similar?
