Well, what we can analyze so far is that it is probably a tower's ability, part of the upgrade tree, or an achievement.

It occurs or features within the gameplay of a level
It is not player controlled
It is not an enemy
It appears in multiple levels

Tower Abilities I would consider player controlled.
The Upgrade Tree and the Achievements themselves do not feature within the main gameplay of the levels.

I didn’t ask it was an Achievement, I asked if it was related to an Achievement
As in "is it something you do in the level to get an Achievement?"
