Even if they did, they wouldn't correspond some to level specific tower and some to normal towers ...
Too bad you can't quote the look on my face.

I don't see the point in a necromancer hero when there's already a necromancer tower :>

How? How are none of the heroes related to towers?
Ingvar. Barbarians.
Blackthorne. Pirates.
Even if there is no gameplay relationship, don't tell me that none of heroes remind you of a tower or spell. What I mean is, "Mirage is a hero to match the Assassin's Guild." It's part of her title, "Assassin." No extant argument there. "Correspond" was the best word I could come up with.

The original 6 KR heroes were made specifically to match the 6 KR upgrade paths, but that ended there. King Denas, Ingvar, and Elora all are not made specifically to match towers/spells. I believe one of the developers personally commented once saying the heroes in Frontiers do not follow a set pattern, but I could be wrong.

Ironhide just makes heroes now based on what they think would be fun and interesting, not following a preset pattern. I think that is better anyway

Edit: Also, I agree with Julian. We have a necromancer enemy and a necromancer tower, a hero isn't really needed haha...

Doesn't it at all seem like some of them match? Ingvar has orange hair, was released along with a northern area, and even carries an axe! The first six, yes, were made to match upgrade paths, but Gerald was made in the essence of a Paladin, Alleria a Ranger, and Magnus an Arcane Wizard. Those heroes all match an advanced tower from their upgrade path. Malik and Ignus match the upgrade paths for individual spells! There's only one thing they can correspond to! Personally, I find it convenient to match a hero to a tower, maybe that's just me.

And, yeah, with the introduction of the evil desert wizard who summons Mummies, a Necromancer hero does seem kind of unnecessary. Maybe it'll be in Castle Blackburne lol

The towers only partly correspond to heroes. They were not intended to. Be that way.

Good luck matching shatra with a tower or ash bite with a tower...

We're getting a necromancer hero?

Here's some speculation

You start off with only Alric (or Alric and Mirage) and you get more heroes as you progress

Ashbite is the black dragon in the cave level

Hero ranking

Blackthorne > Grawl > Cronan >The heroes that haven't been revealed yet > Mirage > Alric (he and Mirage look like something out of Deviantart)

An enemy in the last game, enemy in this game, and an advanced tower just aren't good enough for some people -.-

Um I'm pretty sure the description says ashbite is a red dragon. The black dragon is either a boss or something like the pirates who might can attack for money. And a necromancer is a type of wizard, which we already have a wizard right now in nivus. (Not to say we won't get one in the future updated)

I'm pretty sure Ironhide said Malik was based off Reinforcements.

Sure, the Heroes sorta look like the Towers, and all, but they weren't meant to be. They were based off upgrade paths, and those upgrade paths were based off Towers:

Gerald: Barracks
Female Legolas: Archers
Thor-Wannabe: Reinforcements
Great (Magnus is Latin for "Great" yay): Mages
The Flaming Torch: Rain of Fire
Bolin: Artillery

It sorta makes sense, though.

Magnus ---> Mage Upgrade Path ---> Arcanists
Gerald ---> Barracks Upgrade Path ---> Paladins
Alleria ---> Archer Upgrade Path ---> Rangers
Bolin ---> Artillery Upgrade Path ---> Big Bertha

I don't know where the ice sculpture and the horn blower came from, though. Nor do I know where the fat king came from. But yeah.

Hi all,

I've been reading this forum for quite some time, but only recently was granted an account.

My humble calculations tell me that May is not the month for frontiering, am I wrong? It is a little bit slow giving a character each week...
