No, the graph isn't displaying the full characters properly. #3 is winning, check the numerical results.

How is she supposed to hit anything if she has to reach around and then draw the scythe backwards accross her target? It's very inefficient! Plus it's tiny! Scythes are large, two-handed tools. #1 and #2 are little sickles!

She's a fallen angel wielding the powers of fire and darkness, but better make sure she has two hands on her scythe, because it wouldn't be realistic otherwise.

This encourages me greatly!

I guess I was overreacting a bit. Sorry for the foul mood.

having to use the libraries computors and they censor images and whatnot, cant even vote but from what i have seen from the descriptions and the little information from you guys i think id like #3 over the rest.

shes a fallen angel so it makes sense if she doesn't look angelic and if fallen angels in kr are not like catholic fallen angels (which are demons so she'd have to look like the demon race in kr if she was a catholic type fallen angel) then she shouldn't look like the demons in kr either so i think the complaints about how un-demon or un-angelic she looks that ive been seeing are... silly?

anyhoo, the lack of a face (according to its description) and vicious scythe sounds awesome (hopefully the scythe is indeed a war scythe and not a farming tool i.e a spear shaft with curved blade at the end)

This is old and no one cares. The scythe looks cool and the games have never been all that realistic anyway.

All good things must always come to an end. Tomorrow will be the last poll.

So... this would be a great time to suggest names for the Hero. Since that's the last thing to decide.

We would also accept suggestions for the Hero's dialogue lines. That will not be in a poll, but if we see something we like, we might actually use it in the game. :P

Because we voted for a Fallen Angel. From what we've seen, Ironhide follows typical fantasy lore. That means, by default, orcs must be big and green, and demons must be red and evil.

With this in mind, it's implied already that an angel character would, of course, have a face, because the most typical form of a fantasy angel, has a face.

The problem is when they suddenly go against the trope without forewarning. We voted for a fallen angel. Ironhide likes following tropes, so she should have a face. And a body. Why? Because that's what we expected, and that's what we voted for. Going against that is going against the fanbase.

This can be easily fixed, of course, by giving her a face. I mean, look: not many people care about whether #3 has a face or not, because she looks badass (albeit there are still those who are vastly unsatisfied), so not many would care if #3 gets a face, as long as it's a good face.

EDIT:

OMIGOSH TATS PLEASE.

TATS GHOST RIDER PLEASE.

With all-due seriousness, though, in my opinion, you should totes add, "Look into my eyes!" as one of her quotes, 'cause Iuno I find that coolio and stuff, plus it fits because Ghost Rider is a good guy who does good things through bad ways, and is like a symbol of "goodness even in evil" like the Fallen Angel because yeah she's seeking redemption and whatnot, so yay.

They're not against the fanbase. THE fanbase voted for the faceless option 3, a.k.a, THE fanbase wants it's hero faceless.

We are sorry if some of you don't like the designs. We tried to go with three very different options and we were also trying to stray from classical biblical looking Angels, since we are now much more careful on making our games as culturally inclusive as possible.

Also.. please don't forget to suggest names and dialogue lines! :hero:

thank gods twitter exists! saw the pics there. i think an angel without a face and torso kind of symbolises its fallen status in a way, though diablo goes the opposite direction where its angels have no faces (probs cause of their holiness etc... eh..) also fallen knights in the blackburn levels, they also have no body?

i care about it zonoro.

I think ghost rider is overrated, i dont think his quotes are all that but im not really bothered, cultural references are all over the place in kr, makes sense ghost rider would be referenced by the hero.

(maybe have diablo quotes in the hero since theres a lot of demons and angels and whatnot in the games?)

juicebox, if you want the fallen angel to have a face and body then choose one of the two other options. you think the fallen angel should have a face and body? i think otherwise (i wanted a hero to be much like the fallen knight enemies from the blackburne levels) and while ironhide usually follow tropes and various things people usually see, that doesn't mean they have to. the fanbase is not people that have the same opinions as you juicebox which is why they gave us a poll. I am part of the fanbase and they have done well by me for giving me that third option so no they have not gone against the fanbase.

I think that "Do not be afraid" would be a good quote, because that is what Biblical angels always tell people they appear to.

Also, "I have sinned" or "Forgive me" would fit with the whole fallen angel thing.

I have no clue for a name.

"I give in... To sin..." (Line from the song, Strangelove by Depeche Mode)

"It's... Complicated..." (Common phrase expressing the complexities of a situation, in this case, how the angel is torn between good and evil)

"I'm a slave to a broken order!" (Derived from the opening line of Daimon, the final boss of Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen)

"One, two, I'm coming for you..." (Freddy Krueger, Nightmare on Elm Street)

So, Ironhide, what style are we aiming for with this hero? If she's meant to be a comedic hero, then I can find some less-serious quotes for her and a good name. :)

A fallen angel seeking redemption shouldn't be too comedic, I would say a vicious, serious woman that destroys everyone and everything in her way!

Dre'Reid is a horrible name tbh, it's also hard to pronounce.

We need a reference to Sephiroth, the one-winged angel from Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts. A lot of fans will appreciate that, considering how devoted the fanbase is.

Name ideas:

Achera - A feminisation of 'Acheron', the river over which Charon ferries the dead to Hades.

Liandra - The lead character in the comic series 'Fallen Angel'

Sirenia - Norweigen Gothic Metal band who have a track called 'Fallen Angel'

Yetzara - Combination of 'Yetzer hare', (excuse my wikipedia copy-paste here) In Judaism, yetzer hara (Hebrew: יֵצֶר הַרַע‎, for the definite "the evil inclination"), or yetzer ra (Hebrew: יֵצֶר רַע‎, for the indefinite "an evil inclination") refers to the congenital inclination to do evil, by violating the will of God.

Quotes:

"You yourself are nothing so divine." - A line from the song 'You Know My Name' by Chris Cornell. It was the theme song for the bond film Casino Royale, and this follows a line that goes "I've seen angels fall from blinding heights".

"If you're not committing sin... you're not having fun." - Quote from the film 'Priest'

"Your time has come to an end, and vengeance is upon you." - A line spoken by Ghost Rider

"The road to salvation begins tonight" - Quote from the film 'Constantine'

"Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned" - Paraphrase from 'The Mourning Bride' by William Congreve

"Omni potentis Dei potestatem invoco" - Part of the exorcism spell spoken in 'Supernatural'. It is latin for "I call upon all of the mighty power of God".
