Hey all, so I'm home from hospital now and trying to get back into posting on the forum. I can only sit in front of the computer for short periods of time at the moment, so updating my campaign will be slow, but I will get back to it soon. I've had a few PMs asking how things are going so I'l give you all an update on what's gone on the past few weeks.

I'm home from hospital now, just recovering and getting my strength back. Basically I was diagnosed with a disease called Ulcerative Colitis which is an Inflammatory Bowel disease. After several drug treatments it was determined that the drugs I was on weren't working and they had to remove the organ instead. So I had a complete colectomy, which was the removal of my large intestine in it's entirety. They've connected part of my small intestine to the surface of my skin and I have to wear a colostomy bag that collects the waste and I have to empty it periodically through the day. In hindsight it's a good thing, when they took the bowel out they said it was rotten, and it was only a matter of time before it perforated which could have killed me if I hadn't been in the right place at the right time. For now, I have to build my strength back up, as all those weeks in hospital meant that I wasn't eating or exercising properly and I lost around 3 stone (20kg) which has left me weak and skeletal. I also have an abscess wound to deal with which is unfortunately right on my backside which means that sitting is uncomfortable too. All of this is in turn with having to learn to live with the colostomy bag that I now have, and having to make sure my diet fits around it's operation.

So long story short, I'm back in small amounts. I'm alive, i'm fairly healthy and I have lots of things planned for the forum when I'm at full capacity again (which should be six to eight weeks)(

I'm so glad that you're OK Razorleaf! :D

Are you having to deal with all of these changes alone, or are there family and friends (besides us) that are helping with all of this?

I'm excited to read more posts from you now, but, obviously, no rush. ;)

I live with my parents so they are a massive help to me, I would not be able to get through this without them. My mum had the same disease and the same operation thirty years ago so they know how to deal with it. My friends are visiting when they xan, and are always supportive in texts and messages. So I'm not alone facing this. You guys are awesome.
