What other kinds of bot activity occurs that we may not know about?
Also, how many more sales did Frontiers get compared to Origins? How much do you think that the current app competition at the time could have an impact on both games' sales?
I can't share specific numbers. Origins did super well, but we released it at the same time than the Five Nights at Freddy games (the one that Pwediepie reviewed) and it became imposible to surpass it. Origins did had a longer retention span though, tanks to the more frequent updates. A big part of surviving in the gaming industry is about coming up with survival strategies.

Yes. Dante is still labeled as "Van Helsing" in some of our documents and it was copied directly. I fixed it on Facebook, but it was too late to correct it on Twitter or the push notifications. Live and learn, I guess.
The Propellord wrote:So what made you choose to delay Iron marines??? And is the added content substanstial enough to warrant the time that you spent on it?? Did it involve adding propellers???.... I told you I would bring the fight here.
There are two main reasons for delaying Iron Marines.
1. The game has a completely new gameplay system that we had to build from scratch. We couldn't rely on the coding of the Kingdom Rush games, and that means a lot of trial and error until we finally get things right. From balancing, coding and art, we had to learn a lot of new things and invent new stuff (mostly on gameplay). This kind of creative process takes time, because we are experimenting a lot... and when we arrive at something that we don't like or it's not fun, we have to go back to the drawing board and figure out how to change it.
2. "Substancial" is a debatable concept. Making games is hard, and changing things mid-development is even harder because you are always risking to break the game by accident. A few ideas were fun and look good, but they caused a lot of headaches when the game demanded more elaborated strategies, so we eventually had to drop them and go for something different.
We changed some aspects of how the players create new units, we added more units, more upgrades and more visual details for when those upgrades are purchased. We also added a few more levels. The delay is not so much about the "amount" of changes, but about the "fine tuning" of those changes.
The Propellord wrote:Also, why don't you reveal any sneak peaks or gifs from iron marines anymore?? What android version will Iron marines be compatible with?? Finally, and I'm sure that this is a mistake, but why is Khaz £2 cheaper than Karkinos in KRF??- I'm fairly sure that Karkinos such not be £4.99, and Khaz shouldn't cost £2.99- I can't say for the other heroes because I've already purchased them.
Managing hype is a delicate thing. With the game being delayed, there's always the risk of making people tired of the hype train and that would hurt us when we finally release the game. So I had to tone it down and wait. Not exactly the most fun or rewarding of tactics from a communicational perspective, but necessary nonetheless.
I'm not sure about the Android version question. We will try to make the game compatible with as many Android versions as possible. Usually the stock versions are the easiest to adapt to, while the more customised ROMs are sometimes a nightmare... Cyanogen for OnePlus One was a thorn on our side for over a year before we could finally figure out how to make the KR games work on that OS.

Not that I'm aware of.
