Try beating Rotten forest with only lvl 2 barracks. It'll be nearly impossible, right?

Did you succeed with only barracks (with higher levels) then?
Because i think that map is anyway impossible with just barracks...
I succeed everywhere, except Rotten Forest and Sarelgaz's Lair.
(although i admit i never tried ruins of acaroth and bandit lair)

It is impossible beating Rotten Forrest using only barracks. No matter what you do. ;) Find yourself an achievable challenge. :) Try beating Rotten Forrest using only Sorcerer's towers. I remember that kept me entertained for a couple days. 8-)

Should I read this as:

1. you can use only barracks and the maximum level for your barracks is 2
2. you can use every tower, but the maximum level for your barracks is 2

The second one is probably doable :D

It's physically impossible since killing your troops makes more enemies which kill your troops which make more enemies.csoon the whole screen gets flooded with enemies and its just not possible!

1. There is NO way to beat Rotten Forrest using ONLY barracks!
2. There IS a way of beating it using all towers with a max. upgrade level for the barracks class - 2 i.e. no knights and no barbarians...
3. I'd really like to see some challenges that are difficult, but achievable! Feel free to share...

No star upgrades allowed is a good one, just using one type of tower eg Archers
Here is a list of sinlge tower challenge difficulty (1 being the hardest):
1. Barracks (obviously we have already established that most but the extra stages are doable)
2. Archers (i think same deal as barracks except for sarelgaz and hushwood)
3.Artillery (most should be doable)
4. Mage (all might be doable),
Then there's no heros, no gnome shop/premium and so on...
The tribe has spoken, mon!
Quake and bake!
Time for target practice...
On the trail!

The Holy Grail challenge
-> Stage 12 ('The Dark Tower')
-> Iron Mode
-> Normal Difficulty
-> No Premium content / Gnome Shop
-> No heroes
-> Only barracks allowed

It is possible, but very hard. Good luck in advance :D

Not sure if you would consider it a challenge but my 2nd playthrough I did without premium content at all, while you are all thinking "easy" i personally think that the premium content maps were quite difficult without it haha.
I think i might try to play the whole game using only one type of tower on each level so I can see which are doable.

Remember that iPad at one point had all the premium levels but no premium content or gnome shop and still plenty of people finished the game. I do agree that unless you find your own little strategy, some levels of KR 1 can be nearly impossible. It took me over 20 tries to beat lvl 11 because I was always having my towers on the start of each of the paths and not where they joined.

Now however I am like awesome at all the levels, even if the original challenge this topic was made for is impossible.

Whenever a new level comes out I always play it without premium
content and without heroes. I still feel like those are only for some extra
fun, but not meant to be used in order to get the prolonged difficulty :3

Yeah same. I means you can play all the levels with a tiny change in your strategy to accommodate the minor changes.

I expect KR2 to be a better challenge because the new towers will take time to learn, KR1 lost most of its fun because I know what towers suit certain situations and it just becomes to easy haha.

Julian, did you succeed your holy grail challenge?
I did it after two full days. No premium or anything..., but
I did use the extra gold eventually to hold of the demon imps in the beginning.
Without that extra gold, Im no way succeeding untill now... :(.
