The Ironhide logo

What is it? I look at this thing from every angle, and I can't figure it out. It looks like it may be something in motion, like an enery burst or something. Maybe it's a creature's head and eye? I'm reaching here, I really have no idea! LOL! Maybe it's some kind on Rorschach Test, and you're supposed to interperate yourself??? Help me here...
