Inventory FTW!

I know a lot of people want an inventory system so I decided to make a topic for it. Please add a few ideas as to what it could be used for. I have a few ideas myself.

The inventory system would be used for special weapons, armours, maybe potions and bonus items. Items would be gained in many different ways: defeating monsters, gaining achievements, or maybe even just finding stuff on the ground. Maybe when barracks units become defeated, they could have a chance of dropping their weapon, which would be able to give bonuses to other towers.

Chipped tooth from wulf, worg and winter wolf
Broken staff from shaman and necromancer
Orcish shortsword from goblin and orc
Healing staff from shaman
Battered club from ogre
Staff of bone control from necromancer

A few ideas, I may add more later.

What do some of these things even do? When I suggested this, I was talking about the stuff lying around on the ground; like weapons, walls, armor, etc. And to be fair, this should only be able to be done when there are no enemies, but placing is anytime.

Most of them could power up towers... but for the pointless ones, you could sell them in a shop system That would be cool too, a shop that sells stuff so you can get more cool stuff

Yeah, like between levels. Sort of like what you can do in Defender's Quest. Which is almost as awesome as KR.
