That loulou guy just has one post so it was probably a bot or something...otherwise I'mma bring out the law against him.

My bad then I mixed up your words, and I didn't even notice that I did so. I never put much importance to post count anyways its just an insignificant number to me after all, but I guess its nice to join the 100+ posts group in any case. I probably got my 100th post elsewhere though since that wasn't my last post.

Ok, not trying to get back to the argument we had, but if you don't care about post count, then why did you say you didn't like how I multiple-posted, which raised my post count? Again, didn't want to get sucked into the argument again, but I just wondered.

Because even though I don't care about my own personal post count, people who do care often start simply spamming the forums, double posting, and etc. just to raise their own. So even though I don't care about the post counts, the actions they DO do to raise it bothers not only me but the community. So its not people raising their post counts, its their methods of doing so which annoys others. Did I explain myself well?

Yes. I don't really get post count, why does it exist? I guess to track how experienced the person is or, if they have 100 posts in a few weeks, then they're a spammer.

I guess at start it once measured their activity on the forums, some used it as a measurement to "rank their members" and others just to give the highest post count members "something to brag about". IMO it shouldn't exist as it only motivates people to post just cause and not because their actually interested in the conversations and/or have something interesting to say about it.
