I came into this thread expecting some awesome ideas.

I left laughing.

Mentioning realistic, I think Bonehart should disease soldiers, too, and the AOE damage of Ashbite and Unstable Disease should also affect your units. How come weakling soldiers are immune to such incurable disease while mighty Saurian Brutes are not?

Yeah and if a ranged unit shoots at an enemy while a soldier is in between them, the soldier should take the damage instead. I mean come on, Bolin can literally shoot through your guys. OP.

Any AoE damage should attack your troops too. And when a soldier is blocking an enemy, archers should stop shooting the enemy, in real life there would be a danger of hitting the ally instead.

Yup, True.

Also, a non-advanced Mage should have a chance to forget his spell every time he shoots, so he needs to pull out his spellbook and recite the spell. The animation would be very fun to watch, and this chance could decrease as the tower levels up, to signal improvement in the wizard's skill.

I don't think AOE artillery bombs should damage soldiers. In real life, infantry can dodge and duck bombs fired by allies. Only the DWAARP should affect them, since the tower quakes damage and thus cannot be dodged. This would nerf the DWAARP a bit, it won't be so OP anymore.

Also, burning and diseased units should automatically spread this effect to any units nearby, enemies and soldiers alike, when they come really close, to imitate how the affliction can spread in real life. Say, when a soldier combat an enemy and that enemy is set on fire, the soldier burns, too. Along this note, Furnace Blast, Pestilence and Scorched Earth should deal damage to all units alike, with Pestilence specifically ignore undead, like skeletons and zombies, which cannot be poisoned.

Armor should be destroyable by Physical Damage, albeit very slowly, and cannot be regained unless the unit is a hero and s/he respawn, or with Shield of Valor of Paladins. Similarly, advanced Mages should be able to curse enemies, destroying a portion of Magic Resistance with each attack.

Gnome Shop items should affect all units in the AOE, including towers. Especially, the Fat Boy should also instant kill mini-bosses and destroy all towers on the screen, beside vaporizing all enemies, soldiers and your hero, to make up for its OPness, and provide a chance for further surviving in Endless, as well as giving a place for players to spend their excess gold, and try out new tactics at will.

Let's also not forget how enemies, no matter who they are, should die by five or so arrows. Seeing a Savage survive more than ten arrows is unrealistic and makes the game less on par with other games.

Humanoid enemies only. Beasts, like the Bandersnatch, the Saurian Brute, and well armored enemies should be immune to arrows.

Axethrowers shouldn't so so much damage, an axe would only cut if it lands with the edge towards the target, so they should only do damage on about 1/3 of their shots.

Battle Mecha should occasionally walk back inside the underground workshop for refill and reload. This would make some use for the launch pad, and allow Blacksurges to disable the Mech by not allowing it to reload.

There should be a 0.00001% chance that a boss poops itself and instantly dies.

All heroes are too OP. They shouldn't have abilities or respawns. And when the hero dies all towers that saw the hero's death should surrender. And towers are built too fast, they should take about three waves to be built; two if you're lucky.

Enemies should stop trying to get to the exit and just attack the towers.

Player should be able to change allegiances suddenly and become the main villain of the story by destroying everything he helped to protect until recently.

The ending credits should reveal that it was all a dream of a little boy in a hospital.

There should only be one hero, the General, who is very squishy without any skill except for the ability to build towers and command troops. Towers without him nearby should shoot randomly.

Towers should get damaged over time slowing the attack rate and damage. It should cost the player 100 coins to repair.

Soldiers and enemies should get tired over time, attack rate and movement speed being reduced.
