Another option is to sell all heroes in one pack for a discounted rate.

I don´t think so. By this way, the devs wouldn´t raise money with heroes. Unless if you buy it. And I think that replaying and replaying just to get an amount of gems to "buy" a hero isn´t fun. It´d be boring. And 10000-20000 are not a big amount for great heroes, such as Bonehart and Faustus.

But then again, heroes are not NEEDED. If the gems thing were to happen, I would also suggest that Ironhide should add something in the game to REALLY make it clear that premium heroes are not necessary AT ALL.

Would still make it a grind-to-play.
And it doesn't matter if they're not needed. Heck, Endless mode isn't needed, but it's still part of the overall content.
Point is people hate paying for things in a pay-to-play game. People also hate being told to grind for them instead of pay.

I don't have any facts to back me up, but logic tells me that over half of the money they earn is from users purchasing heroes. It's this money that the devs use to make the awesome games that we have now. Origins wouldn't have the epic sound and graphic design that it does now if it weren't for the amount of cash earned from people buying the heroes. There isn't anyone wrong with heroes being paid for in my opinion. If you want something badly, you'll have to work for it. If they don't want the heroes that badly, then players should just not buy the heroes and leave it be.

I want them really badly in frontiers (which i just got on the ipad due to the free sale) but i am not allowed to pay for anything on an app or pay for anything for an app which is a small problem as it means the only time i can play KRO is at my cousins hose which is a 4 hour drive away in wales.
i would like the Devs to make heroes available for gems in a very high number as there are i'm sure many players who are under the same predicament as me and want the heroes badly enough to grind for them for a very long time.

Look, Kingdom Rush isn't pay-to-play. I'm just making an idea on a way to get heroes without paying money. It wouldn't make things worse, since some are already complaining that the heroes are too expensive. It will actually make people happier since they can get the heroes without paying money.

Not everybody is allowed to buy heroes, I understand. But if you wanted to go to, say, McDonalds, but it cost too much money, you wouldn't beg the CEO of McDonalds to make Big Macs purchasable with the lint in your pocket. That stuff is worthless, and so are the gems in a real-world sense. The fact that people could get heroes without paying in any sense would automatically diminish Ironhide's profits.
