Making The Silence Slighty More Usefull In KRO

by FiskeAgent007 » Wed Jul 15, 2015 10:05 pm

The Golem should be able to be silenced, when it get silenced it should be possible for towers(including heroes ofc) to use their insta kill abillity on the Golem.

Your vehement hatred for the Wild Magus's silence is rather amusing. ;)

The upgrade is situational. You wouldn't get Wierdwoods in areas with lots of flying enemies and single, powerful foes, so why would you get Ward of Disruption unless there would be a large amount of magic users with dangerous spells, like Twilight Scourgers and Blood Ogres. It's a great upgrade in those situations.

Completely agree with BBB. There are some enemies out there that are practically made to be countered by Silence. The only thing I have against it is that it activates even when there's only one spellcaster around, which is sort of a waste as more are bound to show up alongside it.

In the Encyclopedia it even says "Rocks aniamted by powerful sorcery" I think that it would maybe even make sense to make it so the golem could be instaly killed if it get silenced since that i see the abillity to never get insta killed as some sorcery magic thing too.

Just to make everything clear. I do not hate the Wild Magus, i do not really care that much about quotes and the look of towers or anything, i just find that there are other towers that does the job better than what the Wild Magus is doing.

Even tho i do admit that the Wild Magus group killing is pretty good. I used it to complete the Iron Challenge in Duredhel Outskirts.
And yes the Price on Eldritch Doom is also way lower than the Crimson Sentence wich makes it so the Eldritch Doom is a better early game start.

Twilight Golems are fine as they are. I like that they're a mini-boss of sorts because you can't just rely on the infinite damage to kill them, you have to have actual attack power. It's unique way of fighting them that makes the slow-down from taking damage really, really important and gets interesting, especially in the Bittering Rancor missions, as much as I don't really like them. I can respect your opinion if you don't want to change it, but I can only disagree regarding making those changes to the Wild Magus.

Hm, well, i guess that you're right that the Golem should remain mini boss type thing and not be able to be instakilled...

In fact, as far as I know, Golems, Cerberus, and the Warleader, Anoobis, etc. are the only mini-bosses. Pretty unique.
KRA is now complete.

Golems are not minibosses. You can stun, slow, mark, curse, etc... them with impunity. The only thing they are immune to is instant kills.

How, exactly, can we define an enemy as a miniboss?

There are more than one of it, and it can't be insta-killed. So that's the Cerberus, twilight golem and all the endless mini-bosses... and maybe some other that I forgot about.

If that's its definition, then the Twilight Golem isn't a miniboss. It can be instakilled by Reg'son's Vindication, while enemies like the Warleader and the Brute cannot.

An enemy with properties of bosses (immunity to instant kills, slows, stuns and such) with one exception: they are encountered more than one. That would leave Cerberus and the Endless minibosses.

Don't forget that minibosses, like bosses, are still vulnerable to poison and being burned. DOT is usable, but debuffs of almost any kind (resistance-reduction) are not.

Along with slows auch as Vez'nan's arcane nova and the FK's eerie gardener. I should take back what I said about them being immune to almost every debuff. :P

That's the exception rather than the norm.
